“Dabbling in everything from 60’s girl group pop to 80’s shoegaze, manage to create something very modern. ”
Indie electronic band MRCH (pronounced like the month, not the wares they peddle at shows) has truly carved out a niche sound of their very own: DIY, nostalgic, and new – all at once. Sharply walking the line between bitter and sweet. Mickey Louise and Jesse Pangburn make music in the heart of the Arizona desert, but have found an ear in the far reaches. Recognized by The Guardian as a "band of the week”, they’ve also received dark-yet-dancey-reviews from the likes of CoS, Wonderland Magazine and The Line of Best Fit. Having opened for acts including Cannons, Chvrches, Foster the People, YACHT, Glass Spells, and TOPS, they have a BIG live sound with relatively few assets. Moody at their core, MRCH songs have been aptly featured in episodes of Sex Lives of College Girls, Shameless, The Vampire Diaries, Famous in Love, Search Party, 13 Reasons Why as well as The Twilight Zone. Glassy synths, gritty guitar, and whimsical vocals laid over pulsing beats punctuate MRCH’s ruckus dreamscape.
